Cobham is nestled around a beautiful calm bend in the River Mole, yet is easily reached via the M25 and A3. It is home to plenty of independent shops as well a few big names, making it an interesting, enjoyable and convenient place to shop.
This year’s Cobham at Christmas event will be on Friday 29th November from 6pm-9pm and we will be staying open to join in the celebrations. The event will feature a candle-lit parade, illumination of the Christmas lights and late night shopping. Local photographer Eric Strange has recently published a hardback retrospective of thirty years of photographs of Cobham’s people and places, titled Cobham’s Strange Photography. This attractive hardback is £20 and we keep copies in stock.
Also useful for local residents are historian David Taylor’s book Cobham: A History and his other titles, the new book Cobham from Old Photographs by Peter Cornell, and our selection of guides of local nature and pub walks.
